Just a few shots from today whilst out walking around –
That’s it for today. Maybe more eagles on the way home tomorrow, stay tuned……
Last time we were here, it was raining and 70 degrees. Today, 33 and snowing ever so slightly. Last time the rings were surrounded by the sounds of an orchestra playing classical music; Today it was the sounds of parents and children enjoying the official kickoff to winter –
Snow, the great equalizer –
Let’s see if the snow sticks, or if we have to return this winter….
The best thing about not working, is the things you do when you’re ‘not working’. We did our usual Thanksgiving escape by heading for Whistler. We love our local escape. Familiar, yet enough of a trip to make it fun. We crossed the border at 9:30 and made a bee-line for the Granville Island Public market –
After a good solid stroll/shop/watch, we had worked up a lunch hunger –

Stopped on the way to see if the Bald Eagles were out; they were –

They really are awesome –

Even when they turn their back to you –

Even the hawks were making themselves known –

Let’s see what tomorrow brings. Although it likely will not be as cool as Bald Eagles.
The BEST pizza ever! From bottom to top; thin crust, cream cheese, smoked salmon, red onion rings (raw), and capers. Fantastic to the point of no photos. I was too busy eating. it’s the 3rd one I’ve had, and they’re ALL THAT.
Winter. Get comfy, it’ll be here a while. So what do motorcycle owners do when it’s time to put away the motorcycle for the season? Accessorize! Up first –

She hopped a freighter and showed up at work today (actually a coworker brought her back from Hawaii). I asked him for one of those pens with the hula girl in it. You know, the ones that when you turn it upside down, her bikini top falls off. He searched the place, and thanks to political-correctness, couldn’t find one. So he brought back this lovely thing. I’m affixing her to the back of the motorcycle so that she’s waving to everyone behind us.
What’s next? Maybe tassels….
What if they’re submerged?
Just like the photo and needed to post it up.
Carry on…
Good strong year for the fern, though now the winter has him in full retreat –

He’ll get cut back to the bone this weekend, so that next year will have a strong start. Judging by the weather, that’ll be sometime in July! It’s cold, raining thoroughly, and 40-some degrees. Weatherman says settle in, we’ve got a solid week of this coming. Makes me want to head for the coast and some serious storm watching.
Off to the place with all the airplanes, to pick up Marla. The cats and I shall welcome her return with GREAT fanfare.
