Summer is in the on-deck circle, taking a few practice swings. I thought a few photos of the hard work Spring has put in were in order –
Nice work Spring, you’ve done well. See you in 9 months or so.
Thanks,
The MGMT.

STOP CHASING THE BIRDS! I know it’s in your DNA and all that, but stop. We feed you. Too much according to the doc. You don’t even eat the birds, you just wanna play with the damn things. YOU HAVE TEN MILLION TOYS SCATTERED ALL OVER THE HOUSE! Play with them. I’d just rather you not catch the birds and drag them inside. I’m don’t get all ‘Proud Papa’ when you do that. In fact, it’s kinda nasty. And then I gotta vacuum all the feathers up and all that. Not cool, cats, not cool.
You’re lucky this Jay didn’t turn around and decide to kick your butt –

And don’t you even THINK about starting with mice or anything of that sort.
Photos from our ride to Whistler, from the passengers perspective.
Going up was a bit colder and gloomier than was pitched by the weather prognosticators. Only the one photo on the way up –
The way back was better as we played peek-a-boo with the sun for a couple hours –
It was so much nicer out –
Proof it was Canada? You got it –
Big city, bright lights. All half dozen of them. Downtown Squamish –
Really was good riding weather –
Furry Creek Golf Club, I’ve been wanting to play this place for years. Alas, no clubs on this trip (I must figure out how to carry the clubs on the motorcycle!) –
Howe sound in all it’s glory a passing moment at 65 from the back seat of a motorcycle –
One of a few little granite rock-pile island in the middle of Howe Sound. Hadn’t really noticed them before this trip –
Then it was across the Lions Gate Bridge and into Vancouver for a lunch stop. The bridge –
The Lion in question –
That’s it. We had lunch at Bridges on Granville Island, then made a run for the border. No search/delay this time, nice! Made it home and called it a weekend.
Great photo’s for the first time motorcycle-photojournalist, THANKS Marla!
PIE! Strawberry pie! –
Of course I’ll have to raid the neighbor’s patch when these ripen up a bit.
Ours are taking the year off.
For now, store bought is gonna have to do.
So people call them weeds, they’re foxglove. The bees loves them, and they add tons of color to the side of the house. They’re the invasive native plant that doesn’t make Marla want to tear the garden up –
We’ll keep ’em.
But it was kinda planned that way. Took off on the motorcycle Saturday morning for Whistler. No room for a computer, no way to post photos. Nothing to be sorry about, right?
Besides, I only took a couple photos –
But it was worth it –
More later from the passengers viewpoint.
From the efforts of the bees, and whomever else, comes these –
Just a quick tour of the hood.
Off to Whistler tomorrow on the motorcycle. We’ll see if maybe there’s a photo-op up there. I’m sure there’s a beer to be found, and by golly, we’re just the type of explorers to lead the expedition. Enjoy the weekend everyone.
We’ve got this plant out front (don’t ask me what it is), that the bees are just lovin right now. There’s gotta be a hundred bees on it at any given time. You can hear the whole thing buzz as you walk by. I don’t know how the whole bee thing works, but somehow Julie makes delicious honey from all this activity –
Someone will chime in on the type of plant.
And my cat is showing me how to stay cool –
Nice work cat. Next time, how about looking at the camera?
