Well, actually, Mother Nature made the apples. I just happened to pick this first one of the year, up off the lawn. It’s a team effort. The results of which I’m so very proud.
Just a big loop North to Arlington; East to Darrington; North&West to Concrete (luch at The Hub); West to Sedro-Woolley; And finally, South to home. Good ride. And sadly, only one decent photo –
Should be a familiar shot, as we’ve stopped in this area before for photos. I don’t remember the power lines from previous trips, but such is.
Specifically the flowery areas. Keeping you updated on the important things, like the Hydrangeas –
They blued in nicely, doing quite well this year.
This heroic shot of the bumble bee is not what it seems –
See, he’s not doing as well as the Hydrangeas. In fact, he’s dead. Just hanging there by a leg. Dunno what got him, maybe a spider. Anyways…
These I do not know the name of, but I like the Seuss look they have –
Maybe the lady with the green thumb will chime in with a species name?
Marla takes GREAT pride in her ability to grow sunflowers –
They’re more like bean-stalks. This one is only two-and-a-half feet tall now. Probably get to 6-7 or more feet. Then the squirrels will have a field day with all the seeds.
Lastly, we have a Pebble Beach divot update –
They have a custom built new home, and are happy as can be. They get manicured every week or so. And if we’re not careful, they’re gonna merge into one.
You are now current with the garden. We have Mr. Tho coming out today to see if we can bribe him into pulling weeds for us, so that we can get current with the garden.
So we went riding the other day, you saw the photos.
Anyway, middle of the ride, the dashboard announces to me in big bold letters SERVICE. I know that in Swedish, this means bring your Volvo in to the dealer, we need to shake you down for some more money. I figured the Germans were the same, so I stopped by and asked. Yup, I was right, something about an annual service and then some mumbling about a boat payment as his voice trailed off.
Next thing I know, I have an appointment for August 1st, and could you drop it off the night before, and would I be needing a ride? Check, sure and yes. Then we went off on vacation and I forgot all about it.
So today I stop at the dealer after work, sign a bunch of papers that I have NO idea what they said, and then the guy asks me for my drivers license and my insurance carrier. What for, I ask. He says for my ride. Okay, whatever. Then he asks me which ride I want to take home, and points at three options, GS1200, R1200S, and the GS800. I chose the 800, cause it’s different from what I’ve got, and might be fun to ride.
Anyway, here it is –
Thanks Ride West BMW, that was nice of you to offer.
Traffic was jacked on the way home, so not much of an impression of it yet. I’ll have to wring it’s little neck tomorrow. But I will say, I’d NEVER get used to the turn signal switches.
