Another pop-quiz

What is this?

Number zero-five

Okay, time’s up. If you guessed it was the zero-five flamingo and his friends at the zoo taking afternoon naps, you get five points.

Silly flamingos

Sleeping in the rain. On one leg. With their noggins tucked under a wing.

Silly birds.

Take advantage of it when you can

Spring weather in Seattle in February? You’re nuts if you’re not out taking advantage of it. 55 and sunny after work today, so I went for a walk around the lake.

Everybody was out –

Greenlake quackers

The Bald Eagle was high on his perch on Duck Island –

This little bugger thought I might have food, so he paddled over –

Greenlake Coot

Apparently we’re mourning the loss of this tree over the Winter –

I swear, I thought this guy was walking his pet sheep –

Sheepdog

Then I spotted a duck who got water in his ear. Ever seen a duck act like a dog?

Like a dog

Anyway, good afternoon light. Made for some decent photos, motivated me to act a little healthier, and reminded me of why living here is awesome.

Tomorrow it’ll rain and be 43 all day, but today was all-right.

It’s a reefer no less, even colder!

It works, to an extent

Keeps the pigeons, gulls, and other assorted thieves, beggars and miscreants, at bay –

anti-pigeon

Now, if we could only do something about those bothersome dogs….

Sincerely,

The Cats

Eating well I see

This honker hasn’t missed too many meals –

Honker

I asked if he was good for anything other than eating and pooping? He told me ‘sure’, and then proceeded to show me this trick –

New trick

Nobody likes a wise ass. Except me. I thought it was funny.

Silly goose.

It ain’t Spring yet

Evidence –

bare bones

Cloudy, 40 degrees, and no leaves on the trees. It’s still Winter.

Post processing

Here’s where the money gets made. You wanna be a professional (I don’t) photographer? Better to learn your softwares first. There’s this –

Rose

the way it was taken

Then, there’s this –

futzed with using post production software

futzed with using post production software

That was just a couple minutes of futzing with the photo (which happened to be a decent photo to start with). I figure with the right set of Adobe skills, someone could make even me look like a competent photographer. Anyway, it’s all in good fun/learning.

Hope your Valentines Day was everything you hoped for.

Before it got cold and started to rain

You’d have thought Spring was here –

Florality

Let’s see what tomorrow brings. If you see motorcycle photos, it’s Spring. Happy Homeowner photos and it’s still Winter.
