No, we haven’t vanished. We have however been busy with the start of our vacation. Today is the fourth day in a row that I’m playing golf, this time with my Pop in Santa Barbara. After today, things will slow to a more leisurely pace, and I’ll sort through the photos from the last few days and post up the good ones. In the meantime, play Misty for me –

Good start to the vacation.
Did some important chores goofing around. Rode the motorcycle up to Jeff’s, he’s moving back home. I did take one decent photo there, of his Rhododendron –
The thing is in full on raging flower mode right now. It’s ten feet tall, twenty feet across, and absolutely covered with these. It’ll be flowering for the next month or 6.
Other than that, some bad golf, and some bad yard-work, not much to report on. The real fun begins later this week. Stay tuned.

Our Azaleas are a solid MONTH behind the guys with the fancy golf tourney –
Not yet in full bloom, but they’ll get there soon. Gives us time to shop for a ugly green jacket to give away…..

In all likelihood, he’ll be back tomorrow to have another look-see. Big-ass bird.

They’re actually cuter than these photos. Mom just wouldn’t let me get close enough. I’d take a half step forward, she’d retreat 2 feet. So not the best, but I thought I’d share anyway.

No photos today, today was full of broken stuff. Broken cars at 6am, broken motorcycles at 1pm, broken computers all afternoon. It’s a no camera kind of day.
