Spokes that is –
Go ahead, count ’em, they’re all there.
Mounted to an all black, 68 Coupe de Ville. I won’t say it was something I’d do, but it looked the part.

You’re sticking your tongue out at me?
I guess you can do that when you’re 15 feet tall.
The lions didn’t act this way –
Neither did the penguins –
Or the young flamingo –
Even the heron was behaving himself (while trying to nab leftovers from the penguins) –
You’re the only one that thinks it’s funny –
Thanks giraffe, you made us laugh too. Thanks also to Woodland Park Zoo and the weather for making it a nice day to go to the zoo.
That the sun does in fact come out in Seattle in January –
Gotta be honest, I kinda miss the rain.
All 3 photos are from a stroll around Ballard on the weekend.
Usually when I say ‘I tried and failed at golf this weekend’, what I really mean to say is ‘I’m a horrible golfer that has no business playing the game’. But this weekend was different. We went to the golfing course, and wanted to play golf there. The course however had other ideas. Frozen ideas. As in, come back in in a few hours when things defrost. We bailed and had a nice breakfast pow-wow instead.
Here’s a look at downtown Seattle from the course on Saturday –
Fog city. Lotsa crazy weather this winter. I think it might be a sign. Of what, I don’t know. But a sign nonetheless.
Glad it ain’t my roof –

At least it’s not raining on the leaky roof….
Sun was going down. I know, I know; Sun was out? In Seattle? In January? Anyway, it was, and as it passed through this restaurant’s windows, it threw great colors around –
Nice work Mr. Sun, it’s good of you to show up every now and then.
Well, bring a shovel first –
And then we’ll have to check to see if it even floats.
This is why I buy new, rather than used.
Mid 50’s and sunny, so I took advantage of it with a walk around Greenlake. Found my friend the Heron. Beautiful, very large bird –
She just sits and watches us watching her –
She looks to be young, maybe a juvenile. Be certain she ain’t missing too many meals. At least the buffet line is at the lake and not the pond in the backyard.
