You don’t see that everyday

Never know what you’ll find –

Plane V Train

737 All four of em

Yes, that’s a New Generation 737. Four of them on this train. Pretty interesting sight. And certainly something I don’t see everyday.

They ran out of Crazy Glue in Everett, so they’re taking them down to Seattle to have the wings and tails glued on.
Then they put them back on the train and send them North again to get painted and finished up.

Wait, NONE of that’s true. Well, the NextGen 737 part is, but Crazy Glue and the rest I made up. I think they’re headed for Renton where they put the thing together before flying it to Everett for paintwork. Don’t quote me, I’m certainly no expert.

More proof

That the sun does in fact come out in Seattle in January –

Ballard art Ballard pointy Ballard roundish

Gotta be honest, I kinda miss the rain.

All 3 photos are from a stroll around Ballard on the weekend.

Tried to play golf over the weekend. Failed.

Usually when I say ‘I tried and failed at golf this weekend’, what I really mean to say is ‘I’m a horrible golfer that has no business playing the game’. But this weekend was different. We went to the golfing course, and wanted to play golf there. The course however had other ideas. Frozen ideas. As in, come back in in a few hours when things defrost. We bailed and had a nice breakfast pow-wow instead.

Here’s a look at downtown Seattle from the course on Saturday –

No Quattro

Fog city. Lotsa crazy weather this winter. I think it might be a sign. Of what, I don’t know. But a sign nonetheless.

Strolling around Ballard the other day

Sun was going down. I know, I know; Sun was out? In Seattle? In January? Anyway, it was, and as it passed through this restaurant’s windows, it threw great colors around –

Sunlight

Nice work Mr. Sun, it’s good of you to show up every now and then.

Row, Row, Row your boat,

Well, bring a shovel first –

Canoe

And then we’ll have to check to see if it even floats.

This is why I buy new, rather than used.

Someone’s missing this

I suspect they’ll be alright without it –

Missing in action

Not one of the important ones I bet.

Mid winter stroll

Mid 50’s and sunny, so I took advantage of it with a walk around Greenlake. Found my friend the Heron. Beautiful, very large bird –

Heron

She just sits and watches us watching her –

More Heron

She looks to be young, maybe a juvenile. Be certain she ain’t missing too many meals. At least the buffet line is at the lake and not the pond in the backyard.

The stars at night

Are BIG and BRIGHT, deep in the heart of Texas Washington –

Texas

Especially when it’s not a star and it’s actually the moon.

So there’s that.

Poser

Could he have done a nicer job of posing for me?

Quacker

Good looking duck. Note the dual DA. Keeping it classy.
