One, time for a fern update –
Outta control, as usual.
Two, the tulips are really hanging in this year –
Three, I’m not sure, but this could be a flower from the strawberry plant?
Hope so anyway.

Other times, it’s plain as day to see what’s going on.
Look closely, Mumsy had one eye on me and one eye on her chicks. –
Wish I had the other camera with me for a chance at better shots. But, you can only ask so much I suppose.
What he was up to when he found this snail traveling along at a snail’s pace. Upside down. In the thicket. Just off the 9th tee –
Good day of golfing. Though the 24 shots less than last weekend is bound to be detrimental to my 30.1 handicap, I actually felt like a halfway decent golfer today. Except for holes 12, 13, 14 and 15. And maybe some others that we really don’t need to talk about.
The neighbor up the street has this giant old propeller in the yard as an ornament –

Every time I walk past it, I think of Tahoe and the Gar Woods menu:
Bent Prop = Stoli / 151 / cranberry / more… shallow water didn’t do it!
Gotta get back that way, sooner rather than later. Maybe on the motorcycle.
Bryan came by with Thea for a visit. He was dogsitting her for the day, and wanted to freak out the cats. Cool dog that wanted NOTHING to do with a camera pointed at her. Good looking pup –
More of the dog theme for Guy. Hope you’re enjoying it.
Played golf this morning. Harbour Pointe in Mukilteo. Shot me a 124. Not bad, huh? Goes a long way towards keeping that Handicap Index in the 30’s. Yates, you owe me 18 a side AND either 2 beers, or one Bloody Mary. Non-negotiable.
Nice day for it –
Tee’d off at 6:20 and got around in 4 hours flat. Well done.
We might just get some apples off the old tree this year. And you might just get some apple-butter out of the deal. It’s all in the bee’s hands now –
Keep your fingers crossed.
And this is for my French-Canadian friend, Guy, who thinks I take too many pictures of my cats –
My cat is pretty sure he can dispose of your carcass in the lake right behind the house. He also tells me he’s not afraid of that pushover of a dog of yours.
The replacement camera arrived, and they failed to send the replacement photographer. New Yorkers, never getting anything right.
So we’ll just have recycle the old one and get all the mileage we can out of him.
New camera thoughts;
In this first photo you can really see how well it illuminates the blacks of Hopps versus the whites of the railing. Actually, you can really see how disgustingly filthy the deck gets after 7 months of rain….
This second photo shows how well it performs under low-light conditions. Not really, just giving you a fern update, well over a foot tall now –
This shot exemplifies the powerful struggle between Republicans and Democrats. Just kidding, no politics allowed. Just the flowers in the front yard with the sun hitting them in a kinda cool way –
This is bound to be Marla’s favorite, as it will demonstrate my ability to feed the squirrels while she’s outtta town –
In all seriousness, new camera is just that – new. Cool so far.
