With Pop at Nicklaus North, in a soaking rainstorm for the first 5 or 6 holes. 17 was a beaut though –
It’s not about the courses you play, it’s the company you keep.
Thanks Pop!

I thought I’d get you a photo of the hummingbirds. I sat for an hour today with the lens aimed at this –
No birds, but the gatos thought I was nuts for sitting there for so long without taking a photo. Hopps posed long enough for a decent shot –
I’m glad she didn’t rip my arm off or anything like that.
Barley, on the other hand, was rather content to ignore me and my silly ideas –
Good work boy, you relax for a bit.
Manana for you cats…..
Don’t know what these guys are called (surprise, surprise), but they’re slowly making their selves be seen –
In a few weeks, if things go to plan, they’ll be a brilliant color of blue. Likely the same color we’re going to paint the house…..
If you could live off of sugar-water? Well, the hummingbirds do –
We fill this feeder at least once a week. The one out back not as often, maybe every other week.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll catch the hummingbird himself….
Weatherman told us this was to be the hottest weekend of the year in Seattle. Might even hit 86 degrees! My Austrian/Italian friend Gee had his brother in town for a few days; Meet John Cap –
So the Brothers Cap, Marla and I hopped on the motorcycles and went for a ride –
We saw Mt. Rainier up close and personal –

Then we headed over Chinook Pass where we stopped for a few photos –
The diehards were telemarking down the hill –
Someone spotted a mountain goat at the top of the ridge, I took this amazing shot –
At the bottom of the hill, we found the valley where yesterdays photo was taken. The brothers were prepared with shorts, and jumped in the river –
After they thawed out, we got on the motorcycles and beat it for home. A solid 220 mile day.
Guy, John – THANKS for letting the interlopers in on the fun.
Took a 570 bad photos and 2 good ones.
Number one –
I told him to stay put for another couple shots, he didn’t listen. He instead decided to act like the chickens we were watching, and show me his tail feathers.
Number 2 –
He’s just a youngster, hasn’t even got his full compliment of big-duck feathers. They don’t listen well at that age. Silly duck.
