Went to John’s today to help out with a couple things. Decided to ride the motorcycle. Not the brightest idea I’ve had this week (granted, not the dimmest either, but that’s another story for another time). Anyway, 5 miles in, it starts to sprinkle. Halfway to downtown, the I5 is soaked and the stupid is coming out in the motorists. I hit I90 in a downpour, and full blown idiocy has invaded the drivers surrounding me. Nothing to panic about, it’s only 20 or so highway miles, be there in no time. Got to his house, parked in his garage like I own the place, keeping everything from being out in the rain, got out of the riding gear, and set to work, keeping one eye out for the rain to lighten up. It never did. In fact, it continuously got worse. And colder. Like, ‘Is it gonna snow?’ cold. Never did snow, but didn’t stop raining either. There comes a time when you’ve got to go, like it or lump it. So I geared up with the rain as my background noise, knowing full well that I had no-one to blame but myself for the next 45 minutes of blah motorcycle ride in the rain/wind/cold.
Best part is, the motorcycle never even blinked –
Good motorcycle. You kick ass. We appreciate the effort.
