The calm before the storm –
Don’t know why the bark does that? Looks cool though.
This afternoon’s deluge has probably washed it all downstream….
You know winter’s really in stride when the moss is covering everything. The green really stands out on these grey, rainy, winter days –
Today I tried to be boss of the moss with the camera. Can’t seem to do it on the golf courses…..
You are cleared to land on Runway 1 Lake Washington –
Never stops being cool. Even when it’s a misty grey and 40° out.
For those of you that might have made some sort of New Year’s resolution to eat healthier this year, remember to eat your fruits and veggies –
And let me make this very clear, I have made no such resolution. However, shopping the Granville Island Market would make such a resolution so much easier to achieve. Bonus if one were to fill a pie or six with those Blackberries. That would be alright, and I’m sure, very healthy for me….
Heading home today after much fun in Vancouver –
Great city to visit, always enjoy ourselves here. Now gotta get home in time to watch the Rose Bowl. Fear the Tree!
Hope everyone has a happy and healthy new year.
Went up to Brackendale on the way to Vancouver. Stopped in to see to the eagles –
Then it was off to the hockey game with our Australian/Slovakian friends Melissa and Guy, and their friends. Flyers beat the local squad in a shootout.
Awesome time, thanks Guy.
Today we eat drink and be merry in rainy Vancouver. Wish us luck. Full report later….
Out of the blue, a visit from Rick –
Another surprise, we went to Ray’s –
Then down to the locks to walk off lunch –

Then to watch the sun go down, Kerry Park –
Then a jaunt down to the waterfront –
Thanks for dropping in Rick, good to see you. We love playing tourist/tour guide.
We’re off to Canada to watch the Flyers beat up on the Canucks. First I gotta run to the hardware store and stock up on incandescent light bulbs……
Or is that dock 2? Went down to the airport yesterday, just to get out of the house for a bit. The place was deserted. We literally were the only ones there. So we walked around and took a few photos.
Self portrait –
Then over to the main terminal –
Then had a peek at the runway –
Then over to terminal 2, where all the action was. Couldn’t say which I like best, so you get all three. Tell me which one you like best?
Thanks to Kenmore Air for letting us stroll around. If you’re in Seattle and in need of a float-plane, go see them.
Marla went to the big airport today to send off Jamie. Only a mild case of boo-hoo’s. Thanks Jamie, for spending the holiday with us. The countdown to the next visit has already begun!
They’re building as fast as they can and putting them anywhere they can –

Not that it’s getting any cheaper. Just more crowded.
Makes Jack a dull boy. It also leaves him with precious little daylight to take photos. And then the yardwaste has to go out tomorrow, so some postwork yardwork was done by the light of the garage. Thankfully Jack took lots of photos the other day….
Watching the sunset from Magnolia looking towards Bainbridge Island –
Not too bad? Maybe Santa will drop off a nice tripod for Jack, so he can start working better with the low light? Maybe Jack should quit being so cheap, get off his lazy butt, and go buy one. The camera store is right down the street Jack….
