They gave us a look of ‘As if!’ and continued having breakfast, tromping around in the sand traps, and generally not caring. I had to chase the little one out of the fairway so we could hit our shots.
Last Sunday at Eaglemont, up in Mt Vernon. Fantastic golf course should you ever be in the area. A tough place, but real fun to play. Old school. Cool.

This rock wouldn’t fit in your living room –
And this little bugger wasn’t giving up. No way, no how –
All in good fun. Just bring those walking shoes.
Canada. America’s hat. And exceptional purveyor of bears –
Good looking bear. Just hanging out having a salad. Watching her figure I’m sure.
And another thing they’re good at in Canada? Waterfalls! Such as Alexander Falls –
The 230 foot drop of Brandywine Falls –
And a couple of rumblin, stumblin, bumblin, Nairn Falls –
And that concludes our ‘What Canada’s good at’ nature tour for today. But not before one last bear shot. We think it’s the same bear, the following day. You be the judge –

Only birdies that I had any shot at –
On the first tee at Druid’s Glen. Mom duck was there to make sure the troop was safe. Everyone safely navigated their tee shots, and that was the last, best shot at birdie I had all day.
Summer like heat wave around here. The flowers are lovin it –
And the Rhododendrons are outta sight this year –
Lotsa color everywhere. Me likes.
But I like the purple in him –
Probably some sort of hybrid named after the local college team colors.
