He’s not so little, but judging by the looks of him, I think he’s a youngster –
He’s been rooting around the Lyon Creek spillway by the Burke-Gillman Trail for the last week or so. Easy fishing I guess.
Good looking bird.

Well, sorta, not really. It’s the big city and all, suburbia however, is 45 blocks North –
Close enough for me.
And the mailman.
So there’s that.
And we have lift-off –
More from my visit with the waterfowl on the shores of Lake Washington, tomorrow.
As the colors change around here –
Things are getting pretty scary –
Good thing the roses are still flowering (What the???) –
Fall. I like it.
The wildlife and the peanuts you put out for them –
Settle down critters, you’ll get yours. All I want is a picture or two.
Solid entertainment.
It’s been a really nice one helluva Summer, but Fall is making it’s case. The flowers are giving their last hurrah –
We’ll see where we are in a week or two. (Should be blanketed in grey, soaked thru, with about 6 hours of daylight. ((And that, my friends, is why Starbucks is the 800 pound gorilla it is.))
I got out of work early, pedaled home and proceeded to clean the gutters. Followed it up with the last lawn mowing of the year. My cat did this –
Lazy cat didn’t even offer to help.
He’s just happy his tongue is fixed.
And that he can roll around in the dirt covered driveway.
All very cat-like.
Good work cat, well done.
