Took a few days off and headed South.
Tahoe –

Pismo –

That’s all for now….
The elk were out at the farm on the way home last night –

Just having dinner –

Still wearing their Winter coats –

Won’t be long before they’re butting heads trying to impress the ladies…..
This one lives down the street from Jack –

Wile E looks upset that I interrupted his pursuit of the Road Runner –

Spotted them on the way home the other day.
Fun stuff.
We were supposed to go visit Mom-n-Pop, but everyone got the flu. So we headed up to Victoria instead. Paid a visit to The Buchart Gardens and The Victoria Butterfly Gardens, so had an opportunity to learn the new camera a bit.
Since it was way-too-early spring, we had the places to ourselves.
A stroll thru the gardens. The limestone pit –

Things are just getting started –

My old friend –

S-CAR-GO?

The Cove –

They say it’s good luck to rub his nose –

The butterflies were cool –

Yes, he would like a cracker –

The government building at night –

That’s all for now. More learning and practice needed.
If you’ve never been to Victoria, it’s highly recommended. If you do get there, the gardens are a MUST. Go in Summer when things are in full bloom, it’s amazing.
And it is COLD!!!
Lake is half frozen and there’s a dusting of ice. 10 degrees when I left for work the other day….

I was looking for a photo, these two were looking for sushi –

Back to more normal later this week.
A couple of shots from around the Valley to wrap up the year.
That’s a Farmall 200 at dusk over at the farm –

And there she is at night –

Over in the big city of Duvall, in front of the feed store, is this cruiser –

And just over the bridge in Duvall is this nativity scene. The floodwater hadn’t receded but somehow the electricity still worked….

Should probably throw the stand in the car if I’m going to be taking these shots. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess.
Happy New Year everyone.
Everyone, this is Jack –

Jack is not very happy about being stuck in the barn all day. But the storms have flooded his pasture (and the rest of the Valley), so dry feet in the barn for now. At least the view isn’t bad –

Water is receding, this is a couple days after the river crested, but still quite full –

And that should be the last big storm or this year. Let’s see what January brings…
