Took this shot of the big ‘ol Moon, rising out in the valley –

Surprised it even turned out as well as it did.
Kindal cool.
Good work Moon.
That is all.
Had to run in to the Big City of Duvall for groceries. Spotted a couple of old friends…
Big blue was out looking for lunch. We were just hanging out –

And then he decided he didn’t like the company. Love how he just springs up and nails the throttle –

He doesn’t even care if the flight feathers hit the water –

That’s a lotta wing moving that bird –

And of course it wouldn’t be a day in the valley without our new National Bird hanging around. I think he just had lunch, thus the hiding up in the tree thing. Whatever, he’s in charge –

And that was that. Now to go make something out the groceries…
Just a couple shots from the around the valley last couple of days…
It ain’t Brooklyn, but someone’s dwelling in that Castle up on the hill. What a view!

Even on the dark, cloudy days of Winter, Rainier is towering over the valley.

Not quite Swan Lake. More like Swan Flooded Farm Pasture.

That’s all I’ve got for now. More later.
Stopped in Brakendale to see if the Eagles were out. Yup, a few of them were out getting lunch and cruising around –

All in all a nice stop on a nice day.
Sometimes they don’t. Bomb cyclone had the power out and everything at work shuttered. Event cancelled, store closed, got me some free daylight. A few shots on the way home.
Right shot –

Wrong settings –

Take the good with the bad I guess.
Fall is here. Good time of the year to take a couple photos. Getting out of work a bit late to coincide with the sun going down helped.
First the large moose try their hand at karaoke –

Next thing you know, they’re cracking skulls to impress the ladies –

All while the leaves are changing colors and making a mess of the lawn –

Rainy season is next. Maybe a stormwatching trip to the coast is in order….
More later.
They’re out at the farm getting fat for the winter –

2 generations here –

Most of the boys are still in hiding. Weather is turning, so they’ll be around soon enough.
Couple of weeks ago actually. Chamber of Commerce weather. Went down to the end of the runway to take in the sights.
F35. Headed right at us just off the ground and right over our heads decides to go STRAIGHT up! Absolutely nuts. And probably caused some hearing loss –

Then the Blue Angels took off in formation with Rainier in the background –

They went over the winery in their diamond formation –

And then gave a final buzz over the winery as they landed –

Good fun with good wine and good people.
