But there were highlights. Like this guy, happily munching on grass just off the 13th tee –
Good work deer, making the grounds-crew’s job that much easier.

Boeing does. By chopping off the top of a 747-400, and making it BIGGER –
That is a Dreamlifter buzzing the house this afternoon on the way to Everett (sorry, small lens on today’s walk – click the photo for large; click again for massive).
Looks like it shouldn’t work, but somehow it does.
Cool, every time I see it.
The beacon of home calls. Strongly. Responsibilities await.
Home.
Cats.
Fish.
Bills.
Dr.’s appointments.
Jobs.
Not necessarily in that order. The beacon calls nonetheless –
We’re home now. Safe and sound. We’ve got things to do tomorrow that are more important than traipsing around the NW on a motorcycle. We’ll keep thinking of the traipsing. And the wonderful visit we had.
Thanks everyone. GREAT to see you all.
Charlie & Marla
No internet. Therefore no photos. Zip. Zero. Nada. Florence Oregon, thank you for reminding us of that. Couple from the last two days;
Paul and Babe in Klamath California –
The coast, as hard as –
And as we settle in for the night, a sunset from the balcony –
Not so bad for a couple of rookies?
Tomorrow it’s off to home, and, reality.
More boring family vacation photos later.
Some shots from the road, courtesy of the passenger –
Well, there you have it, a snapshot of our ride today. We’re in Eureka, having covered 300+ miles. Started out nice (68 and sunny), got cold (60 degrees), rained a whole bunch (soaked), got hot (107 degrees) and everything in between. More later and details too.
Thanks to Marla for playing photographer today.
Not a lot of pictures the last couple days, sorry. Busy being lazy. That’s that.
Wishing everyone a Happy 4th of July.
Thanks to everyone that makes these things possible, YOU are the true celebration –

More from the road later.
Unless you think hanging with people you love and eating good counts as productive –
Oh yeah, we shopped gazillion dollar boats. Julie says she’s gonna write a check for the Riva. I’m not sure Dan knows…..
And by the way, hanging with people you love is the most productive thing ever.
